2. Prevent + Detect
Prevent + Detect combines background monitoring with active environment and system‑level validation to block cheating tools.
How it works: In addition to generating standard alerts, Sherlock enforces system controls during the session to block additional input devices and additional monitor on the candidate’s computer. Sherlock’s desktop software monitors the candidate’s PC activity at the system level to ensure integrity throughout the interview.
Candidate experience: Before joining, candidates will be prompted to quickly install a lightweight Sherlock desktop helper application to secure their local environment.
