1. Connect Your Calendar
This allows Sherlock to automatically detect and import your upcoming interviews so you can easily manage them from your dashboard.
Navigate to the My Dashboard tab.
Under Calendar Settings, select your preferred platform: Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or Zoom.
Log in and grant permission for Sherlock to read your calendar events.
Once connected, your scheduled interviews will automatically sync and populate in your dashboard.
Manual Scheduling Option
You can manually create interviews directly from your dashboard. Click “Create Interview Manually” and fill in the candidate’s name, meeting link, and interview date and time. Then, select your preferred safeguard mode:
Detect Only: Monitors and reports cheating indicators without requiring installation.
Prevent + Detect: Blocks suspicious applications and requires the candidate to install Sherlock before the interview.
If you choose Detect Only, Sherlock will automatically join the meeting as a participant. If you choose Prevent + Detect, the candidate will receive easy instructions to set up the Sherlock desktop app before the interview.
Once saved, the interview will appear in your dashboard’s sidebar.
2. Safeguard an Upcoming Interview
Because your calendar is synced, Sherlock automatically tracks your upcoming meetings, but it will only join those where you enable it. To enable Sherlock for a specific interview and allow it to join the meeting:
Locate the target interview under Upcoming Events on your dashboard.
Enable the toggle button on the right side of the interview slot.
Once toggled, the Safeguard Selection card will expand directly below the meeting details. Select your preferred safeguarding mode:
Detect Only: Watches and reports cheating with no installation needed from the candidate.
Prevent + Detect: Blocks cheating apps and reports suspicious activity (requires the candidate to install Sherlock).
Realtime Deepfake Detection + Detect: Performs real‑time synthetic media checks and delivers an integrity report post‑interview (consumes 5 credits).
(Optional) Tick the box for Require Identity Verification for Candidate if you want Sherlock to send an automated identity check email to the candidate before the interview starts.
Click the blue Confirm and Enable button at the bottom of the card.
Once you click Confirm and Enable, the setup is finalized. This acts as your official confirmation that the Sherlock bot will automatically join that specific interview at its scheduled start time.
3. Review Post-Interview Results
Once the interview concludes, Sherlock automatically processes the session data and generates an integrity report.
Select the interview from the sidebar to open its report view.
Review the session summary, including integrity score, risk classification, and detected anomalies.
Use the Recent Interviews list to view chronological outcomes and navigate between reports.
The dashboard provides a simple overview of completed interviews and their integrity results, offering quick visibility into session outcomes across your team.
