Choosing a Retention Period
Under Auto Retention Period, you can select how long interview data and recordings should be kept:
Option | Description |
Permanent (Keep until manually deleted) | Data remains available until you delete it yourself. |
7 Days (Auto‑delete after 7 days) | Data and recordings are automatically removed after seven days. |
14 Days (Auto‑delete after 14 days) | Data and recordings are automatically removed after fourteen days. |
After selecting your preferred option, click Save to apply the setting.
How It Works
The retention period applies to all interview data and recordings created after the setting is saved.
If you choose Permanent, you can manually delete data anytime from your dashboard.
Auto‑deletion happens automatically based on the selected duration (7 or 14 days).
Where to Find Data Retention Settings
Go to Settings in your Sherlock AI dashboard.
Select the Profile tab.
Scroll down to the Data Retention section.
Best Practices
Choose shorter retention periods if your organization requires regular data cleanup or privacy compliance.
Use Permanent if you need long‑term access for audits, training, or record‑keeping.
Review your retention settings periodically to ensure they align with your company’s data policies.
